| Pure element of Water. Universal Love, or intuition, or Yin. Psychic and Sensual. I've received a lot of love while coping with the extremes of the past year. Friendship. Family. Romantic, somewhat. So, not a targeted lovey-dovey cup, just the basic Cup. The grail. The big God/Angel arm reaching out from a cloud and handing me the cup sort of love. The universe is mostly supportive lately, even when the individuals don't seem to be. This image is derived from many tarot standards, those that feature a green goblet. Greens and blues. Water. Water. Water. Lotuses and Waterlilies. Specific images used in the card: Stock splashes, a stock wave, the ceiling of the Bellagio lobby (the glass looked like waterlilies), a droplet. Stock flowers. A photo of a flower-shaped tealight holder given to me last Christmas, and a goblet from my days in the SCA. An alternate version of this card used a coffee mug instead of the goblet. I like the concept of a coffee mug better. Modern culture can relate to coffee mugs better, perhaps? Ultimately, the goblet fit the design better than the mug. I considered using neither, since the card is just the pure element of water. |
