Three of Disks: Work

September 2007  

Mars in Capricorn. (Fired Earth. Clay.) Material Works. Construction. Being productive.     Designed in conjunction with 3 Artists 1 Stone. I was invited to be a part of the project due to this Tarot Deck. I chose this card (1) due to the number matching the show theme, and (2) because I knew it would oblige me to create a lot of material artwork, matching the card's meaning.     A single stone is color separated into RGB, so it is technically one stone, despite being 3 (or 4, if you count the full color stone in the center). Each artist had a different field, the others are represented by handwriting and sheet music.     The disks in the background is the only explicit visual nod to the card. The usual astrological references were nixed by the other artists. (but, still on file, in the event I ever manage to release this as a proper deck.)
