Classic Colors at home yellow/dark red/black.
I mixed up the
dark red, still lighter than the red I had in class, but, good enough for
a classic colored Ukrainian Egg. I followed just one of the kit designs,
rather than testing out several of them. The one end resulted from a slipped
kistka. Batik drives home the idea of art being "happy accidents", ok?
I had been decorating the eggs for the two whole days before Easter.
Each egg takes about 3 hours, and the "happy accidents" are really quite nerve-wracking.
I thought I'd stop shortly, but once I saw how nice the
red eggs looked, I wanted to add more red eggs to the basket for the LSE Easter Party.
