Challenge Egg 3

Jane Pollack's Original Egg -->

Another chance to Learn from my mistake.

Do not store egg shells indefinitely. (This is a non-issue if you dye whole eggs.) And, if you do, make sure they've been washed, prepped and the ends wax sealed. Otherwise, they can really start to reek...

I threw out quite a few of my semi-prepped shells, carefully wax- and container- sealed the remainder, and thought that would cover it, right? Not really. But, by the the time I caught on that the garbage had been taken out and something still smelled, I'd done too much with Version 1 to just chuck it.

Version 2 came out much better, except I didn't get the lines placed well-enough to use the whole design, hence I continued to alter it slightly.

It's a little weird doing an exact duplicate of an egg design of a recognized artist, unlike following the patterns in books, or on those postcards in Surma's basic starter set. Even then, I usually vary the design a bit, just to make it feel more mine.
